We were looking for a place to eat before heading to Navy Pier for a play, and Local Root turned out to be an excellent choice. The food was unique, delicious, and satisfying, with perfectly sized portions. The service was outstanding, and the bar was well-stocked. Local Root is a wonderful neighborhood good feel restaurant in the popular Streeterville neighborhood. The food is authentic and the aroma of the fresh baked goods is heavenly. Try the mimosas and **** mary 's with your brunch.

The restaurant was empty. the appetizer was good. the pork was too dry. the waiter was very nice and helpful. the jazz music was very repetitiw. I didn't care.

Local Root is a fantastic neighborhood restaurant where the hosts and servers go above and beyond to ensure your visit is warm and welcoming.
