I’ve found that there are cafes... read more Took a stroll down Halstead in Chicago and found Jennivee's Bakery Cafe. Ordered just a simple Cappuccino and Almond Croissant. I’ve found that there are cafes who know how to make a cappuccino and those that do not: Jennivee's knows how to make them. But that wasn’t the best part this Almond Croissant is one of the best I’ve ever had. Flaky, flavorful and baked to perfection. What a nice late morning find! It has become my go-to spot for special occasions, mid-week pick-me-ups, or just to treat myself after a successful day (it closes at 10pm). The staff is consistently friendly and accommodating. Being Filipino-owned, they offer delicious ube cupcakes, heavenly red velvet cupcakes, and refreshing mango cupcakes. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong here. The staff is always happy to help you find the perfect treat to match your mood and taste preferences.

I choose to come here for any major relationship milestone, or when I need a midweek pick-me-up. Even when I want to reward myself late at night (it closes at 10pm), this is my go-to spot. The staff is consistently friendly, and being Filipino-owned means one thing…ube! The ube cupcakes are perfection, the red velvet cupcakes are heavenly, and the mango cupcakes are divine. In short, you can't go wrong here, and the staff will happily guide you to the perfect treat to match your mood and palate.
