The best place in Andersonville for beer! there is no beer that they cannot find their good beer). Eating is decent. but they go here for drinks.
We had dinner here on the recommendation of the staff in guesthouse directly on the street and they met it on the spot. the choice of belgian beiere is the largest I have ever seen at a place. large older bar with self-seated or table service in the back. the place is inconvenient, but expect a very good meal and excellent drinks. the muddles for an appetizer is a meal in itself, and the sandwiches are excellent. warm atmosphere, great bartender and excellent eating.
Hopleaf is a classic restaurant bar in chicago. with a phenomenal beer list, wine options on the tap and tasty eating that is where they want to be every night of the week.
Although the menu centers meat mussels, do not miss the great vegetarian options, including the CB J sandwich on sourdough; Homemade cashew butter, fig jam, rosette cheese; pan-fried .
