I took my sister here for her birthday. I had the steak and eggs with apple butter pecan pancakes. The food and the ambiance was amazing. The servers were great and attentive. If your ever in the Roger's Park area this is definitely the place for breakfastor brunch. I would have given them 10 ?????????????????? if I could. View all feedback.
What Anna Alvarado Sangster doesn't like about Honeybear Cafe:
Make a reservation if you can. We did and didn’t wait long at all. A older diner turned hip with some areas for cool social media pics. Extremely crowded with seating very close together. Their latte and French toast flight were both good and picture worthy. The omelet and grits were average. There wasn’t anything bad about our experience, but at the same time there wasn’t anything amazing about it. I guess that’s wh... View all feedback.
This brunch was fantastic. Our group ordered the French Toast Trio Flight, a Country Omelette with Churro French Toast, a Nutellagraham Latte, and a S’mores Latte. The food was top-notch and beautifully presented. We enjoyed both the sweet and savory options. The staff and manager were accommodating to children, although the space was a bit tight for strollers. The atmosphere was lively during peak hours. We arrived early (before 9) and were seated in under 20 minutes, but the wait time had increased significantly by the time we left. This is one of the best brunch spots in Chicago and definitely worth a visit. I recommend arriving early with a big appetite.
Wow! The food we had was incredible! The wait time was a bit long though. They provide water and seating for those waiting. The portion sizes were huge, we ordered 4 items and 2 lattes (which were delicious if you like sweet coffee drinks) and the total came out to $78. Not bad at all considering the size of the portions, we had to take 3 items home for leftovers!
I finally had the chance to visit this hidden local treasure. The restaurant is vibrant and welcoming with a diverse menu offering large portions at a great price. The sandwiches are served with your choice of fries and soup – a fantastic deal! My friend enjoyed the delicious Reuben sandwich, while I opted for the club sandwich. The cream of broccoli soup was particularly tasty, possibly homemade. The service was quick and friendly, making me eager to return for another meal.
Don't waste time reading reviews, just go to Honeybear Cafe! We discovered this place through Instagram and it definitely lived up to the buzz. The menu is diverse and each dish had delicious and unique flavors. The service was outstanding, especially thanks to Gabby and the rest of the team who were attentive even during the busy brunch rush. The hostess, server, and manager all went above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid a long wait, but it's worth it for the delicious food and great service.
The only downside was that, despite our waiter being very nice, I did feel slightly rushed while eating my food. They kept asking if I was finished, even though it was a Monday and the restaurant was not busy. Other than that minor issue, I would definitely recommend dining here.
