Our party arrived on time for our Open Table reservation, only to be told by the manager that they do not honor Open Table reservations. Despite some mild protest, we were seated at a table set for two, even though the restaurant was half empty with several large tables available. When we asked about the large tables, the manager said they were reserved for a group of 28 people and we had to stay at our small table. Feeling uncomfortable with the size of our table, the nearby large group, and the kitchen being preoccupied with the 28-person party, we decided to leave. The manager showed no interest in keeping us there, and there may have been some racial profiling and discrimination involved. We will not be returning to Dolo, as there are plenty of other options available for our dining experience.
There was no bartender on duty, so we couldn't have any cocktails. Unfortunately, they were also out of Tsingtao beer. However, the food was tasty and the portions were generous.
I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed by its cozy atmosphere and convenient parking. It's recommended to arrive early to avoid the dinner rush. They offer a wide selection of traditional dim sum dishes, as well as unique items that I hadn't tried before. Beyond dim sum, they also have an extensive menu of entrees. I highly recommend trying the shrimp crepes and clam dumplings, as they were absolutely delicious. What stood out to me about this place was that I didn't feel as bloated from sodium compared to other dim sum restaurants. The service was attentive and friendly, and I will definitely be returning in the future.
I have tried the Dim Sum at this restaurant twice now. The positive thing is that even if you don't find the dishes amazing, they are still good.
