Was Beck at Dmen Tap a mag?
They have vegan options!!! I was so excited when I stumbled across this truck and looked at their menu. I got a kabob wrap, fries and a pretzel and it was all delicious! Plus they were super friendly! I definitely look forward to eating from them again. Happy customer! View all feedback.
What Chris Bates dislikes about Dmen Tap:
Can't speak for the food but I had a really bad experience at the Christkindle market downtown. The guy yelled into the crowd if anyone wanted food because nobody was at his window. A white guy and I went to the window, he took the white guy's order but told me there was a line, he then points to random people clearly not waiting in line in the crowd and tells me their waiting in line. I looked back for 2 minutes and... View all feedback.

Food was good at Christkindle and so we chose to support the business at its actual location. However, the food at the bar was no where near the quality at Christkindle, they also charge $2 dollars for an extra side of sauce which is okay but it’s was a table spoon of sauce. We asked for extra sauce because at Christkindle it’s how we had the wrap, but at the bar I got the wrap without any tzatziki and my extra sauce I paid for was way too little. Staff made no effort to even speak to us and wh … – show

It was just okay. The beer selection was good, but I tried the poutine and was disappointed. The sausage was excessively salty, and the gravy wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped. The cheese curds were acceptable, but they didn't have that signature squeak and weren't really melted either. If you enjoy the atmosphere, that's great, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations.
The food was quite disappointing, and the prices for both food and drinks were rather high. Additionally, the service from the bartender could have been improved.
Can't be in the restaurant unless you're over the age of 21. Took ~10—15 minutes to figure out what to order due to a confusing menu. You order from a tiny little window. The amount of food you get for the price isn't satisfactory, and the taste wasn't anything special. Overall, very dissatisfied.
Nestled in a cozy corner of Chicago, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its eclectic decor and welcoming vibe. While the food truck serves quality dishes, including vegan options that have garnered praise, some diners find the restaurant's food inconsistent, with issues ranging from portion sizes to salty flavors. Service has been hit or miss, with reports of inattentiveness. The venue boasts a lively atmosphere, enhanced by events like craft beer tastings and family-friendly activities. Despite mixed reviews on the food itself, patrons appreciate the friendly ambiance and the chance to connect over delicious drinks and good company.

At West Fest, I noticed that they had changed the menu to say "ask about gluten-free options," which made me hopeful that they had made improvements. However, not wanting to risk wasting time in line again, I had my boyfriend inquire about gluten-free options at the counter. The man working there rolled his eyes and rudely refused to answer a quick question. When he did eventually respond, he was mocking and referred to my boyfriend as "Mr. cut in line." This unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. It is the responsibility of restaurants to properly inform their customers about the food they serve. Donermen, please do better!
On our first day in Chicago, my partner happened upon their Fae Days DMen Nights event, so glad she did. The bar is cozy and uniquely decorated. Definitely our vibe weird, yet welcoming. There is bar, table, and booth seating, plus an additional area in the back past the restrooms, which is where the event was set up. There, my partner and son made flower crowns. They loved it. There were other kids hanging out in their flower crowns also. They offer their own craft beer, which was tasty, among other options, including a full bar and food. The service was extremely friendly and engaging. It was a great first stop to enjoy a wonderful event in a friendly and decorative environment while playing oversized Uno and drinking a couple of cold craft beers.
Cool, it's a Dungeons Dragons themed bar. DMen Tap is the bar for the geeks it seems. It actually has a pretty big menu of things, many which are good for vegans and vegetarians. Big portions that make the prices seem not that bad for how much food. The bar of course has plenty of games to play so you have something to do while sitting and waiting After being familiar about the food truck and hearing it was now a brick and mortar restaurant, it was time for us to head over and have some drinks, food, and fun. It's a little dark as expected, but not so much to creep anyone out. The bar is the main place to sit, and there's also a few tables. It's about $12 for a cocktail. The PBJT is blackberry liqueur with lemon, simple syrup, and Skrewball. As for the food, it can be expensive but the portions help a bit. It's about $16 for the Doner Kebabs. Choose to get it in a box or over fries. This is topped with cabbage, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, greens, harissa, onions, and pickles. Also you get a protein choice. We got the vegan protein, which was seitan with hummus and tahini. Quite a lot to eat. This was good and filling. Good bar for those liking this type of atmosphere. It's of course a good gathering place to play stuff has plenty of board games and video games. The menu has plenty for meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarians.
Different bar foods than other places in area, awesome flavors. Poutine is filling and hearty. Drinks and staff always a good timeFood: 5/5
This restaurant has an age restriction of 21 and over. It took about 10-15 minutes to decide on what to order because the menu was confusing. Orders are placed through a small window. The portion size for the price paid was not satisfying and the taste of the food was not remarkable. Overall, I was very disappointed.

I LOVE this place! It looks like a tavern from DND or WOW. It was full of games too. The food was OUT of this WORLD! I live in Lafayette, Indiana and we took a road trip (2 vans full) just to eat here. So worth it! I can't wait to come again!
Good currywurst. Looking forward to trying the Döner.
I love this place. Many of the people working there and that I've met there have become part of my Chicago family. The staff are friendly, there's not a hint of pretension. The atmosphere is dive bar meets rpg nerds. They have a Beholder (from D&D) hanging from the ceiling and really nice painted fantasy art, if that helps get the image across. I could talk about the food for a while. Let me just say, the Döners are fantastic, they stand up toe-to-toe with the authentic döners I had in Berlin. Beer selection is great as well. They even get rare limited distribution stuff from local/national breweries sometimes. I've been a regular for years, I can't believe I never gave them a review before.
Dave rules. The doner is delicious, however you choose to have it (wrapped, in a pita, on fries, with rice, or salad with roasted vegetables. Great beer list. They serve M-43! It's a chill, unpretentious and laid back bar with great food and cool people.

Very cool bar, great mood and really awesome kebab. they do not have a huge menu, but all vegan options are very special and the portions are considerable.
The staff is super friendly and happy, asking to answer the menu, almost all can be made vegan. basically, if it is not covered with chicken engraving, it can be vegan made they have since, tofu and vegan dogs that can be replaced for the net, and the curryries are the next level.
Make sure they want vegan, whateveritisyouorder. I ordered a sincere dish and they gave me the vegetarian version that had yogurt in it. so only specific, otherwise it is delicious and not too hot when they are afraid of spicy curry sauce. can not wait to try more items on the menu! (if you want to see the complete vegan menu, it is not on their website, check the menu on grubhub)
Had her vegan donor over Pommes from her food truck at a festival. vegan options were clearly explained on the menu, and the food was great.
