Had a work meeting and was in the area. Looked up some places, and this had great reviews. Came in, and it's a nice, fancy, and small location. Took me by surprise and very inviting. Their garlic bread appetizers are delicious. I got the jibarito, which was very tender and delicious. Unlike other jibaritos, this wasn't greasy whatsoever. It didn’t come with the garlic on top, which I love, but that's on me for not asking. I also got the black congri rice. Never had it, but it was different and good. The others in my group had different meals, too, and they loved it as well. Think it was some kind of fajitas. They did look and smell great. I will be coming back and trying out a new dish. Hopefully, they will surprise me again. On another note, they make everything from scratch, so it's fresh, and it may take a while, so plan ahead. The other group that walked in after we were leaving did call ahead for dine in. Must be regulars! You live and learn, and not a bad idea either.Parking: They don't have a parking lot. At least it's free street parking.
BEST CUBAN FOOD IN THE AREA. YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR A LITTLE BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS MADE FRESH.
Though we had made reservations when we got there were told it was closed for a private party one of the service people told the very unfriendly woman (in Spanish probably not thinking we spoke Spanish) that he’d told her about the reservation. The woman begrudgingly showed us to a corner table we should have just left but we didn’t and felt very uncomfortable by the situation. Rather than apologize the woman acted as if we were at fault.
First time trying cuban food and we did not like it at all. If you love extra extra garlic and plain flavor than you will love this food. It's pricey for what you get. We were very excited to try it but sadly we did not like not one thing that we tried. We bought the plate for 3
Osmil is a great cuban cuisine chef...90 miles can't drive his Dingy !!! Lived in Chicago on a bussines trip for 2 years and 90 miles is just blah blah blah pure fame..D Cuba and Osmil can cook a cuban plate the way it could be, of course Chicago's Mex people are used to bad food with no taste like 90 miles
D'Cuba offers a mixed experience for diners seeking an authentic Cuban culinary journey. While some praise the vibrant flavors and standout dishes like the mojitos, ceviche, and jibarito, others have expressed disappointment over blandness and overly garlicky flavors. Service experiences vary, with reports of both welcoming staff and unapproachable attitudes. Ambiance is often highlighted as inviting, although the restaurant's small size and lack of dedicated parking may pose challenges. Overall, D'Cuba invokes strong opinions, making it a polarizing yet intriguing destination for Cuban cuisine lovers, with many eager to return despite the critiques.

I live in Michigan, and every time I visit Chicago, I make sure to stop at this restaurant for delicious and authentic Cuban cuisine.
The customer service at this restaurant is top-notch and the food is absolutely delicious!
I have reviewed this restaurant multiple times and the food is amazing. I often find myself craving their dishes in the middle of the night. My only complaint is that they should have longer operating hours.
Delicious food, very well made, wonderful service. I’ll definitely go back. Highly recommend.

I love Cuban food and music and read good reviews about D'Cuba so decided to check it out. Best mojitos I've had and terrific ceviche and tamal (basically a tamale) appetizers. Service was a bit cranky but otherwise competent. I'd definitely go back and try other foods on the menu.
We came in knowing little about Cuban food and nothing about the neighborhood. Loved the food and the mojitos. Excellent prices!
Second time dining here. Actually, enjoyed it better. This time I came with companion and was able to share this experience. They gave the best moho. We'll be back.

I think this is the best Cuban food in chicago and I have eaten in every Cuban restaurant in chicago and many in miami and many private homes. that's it.
D’cuba the restaurant is located on fullerton, and some people say this is one of the best Cuban restaurants in the city. I'd say it's pretty good with one.
