All I can say is that the Dirty Bombay Sapphire was exactly what I needed after a long, stressful day! Upon entering the main lobby, I headed up the stairs and took a right. The bar is very spacious, and the bartender was attentive. The drinks were strong yet well-balanced. Great job, everyone! View all feedback.
What UpsideDown doesn't like about Commons Club:
I visited this restaurant based on a recommendation, expecting it to evoke the charm of Alice in Wonderland, but unfortunately, it fell short. The food was decent, but they only offered four boozy tea options, and one of them was unavailable. It seems that they don’t customize the drinks; everything is pre-made. I don’t think I would return. View all feedback.
Commons Club in the Virgin Hotel is one of those cool, eclectic places that you can have a real experience at. The Upside Down Tea (or boozy tea as me and my peeps call it) is outstanding!!! The champagne teas are so good and the tea bites are not your regular tea bites. No cucumber sandwiches on this tea menu. I had the most flavorful pork belly ever and let's not even get started on the biscuit with jam and cream. Sooo good!!!!
The food was fabulous with wonderful flavors and the service great. We had the squash soup, cauliflower rice dish and apple pear salad. Great location prior to going to a theater production!
Loved the variety of starters. Martinis superb! Wine selection just right (Tempranillo).
Very cool atmosphere. Excellent service and food was delicious. But, the portions are tiny!!!
Afternoon tea was fabulous. The commons club team puts on a lovely tea time. Had a great time w fun cocktails and great food!
