Coco Pazzo Cafe
4.4 / 5 (6206 reviews)

Description

Coco Pazzo offers a mix of experiences, ranging from food quality to service. While some found the food to be average and the service inconsistent, others praised the fresh salads and fantastic gnocchi. The atmosphere was generally comfortable, with some noting the friendly and accommodating staff. However, a few negative incidents, such as billing disputes and unimpressive interactions with waitstaff, marred the experience for others. For those seeking simple Italian fare in a relaxed setting, Coco Pazzo has potential, but be prepared for potential bumps along the way.

Although we ate outside on a summer night, the interior is one of the most elegant and interesting in Chicago

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for many many years. They moved from their St. Clair location to E. Ohio St. about four years ago. I’m sure Covid hit them hard, but they are open, although with a more limited menu. The pasta is great, the salads are great, the drinks are great, you really can’t go wrong. Marco, the manager, is so warm and welcoming. I’m hoping that business will pick up and the menu will expand again but we will continue to support it no matter what

I made a reservation for a 5 people dinner and when I got there, the reservation wasn’t scheduled, which was strange considering that I needed to inform my credit card number to do it weeks before. Despite that, the front desk guy was helpfuland got us a table. I ordered a Cacio Pepe and it’s was good, but not memorable. I don’t know if I’m being over exigentconsidering the US food environment, which rarely surprise me.
