Feedback
Cedars Restaurant in Hyde Park offers tasty and fresh food with large portions. Some customers found the service lacking in attentiveness. The diverse menu includes vegetarian options that pleased a group of out-of-town guests. Prices are reasonable, making it a neighborhood favorite. Ambiance is pleasant, but some found the food quality to be inconsistent. Overall, Cedars is a recommended spot for flavorful and filling meals, with friendly service. Customers note the value and unique flavors offered by this popular dining spot.
The negatives were that we had to wait 10 minutes for 1 of the entrees and the lamb chops were half fat.
I like the new menu but wish some of the originals were still there. I loved the salmon the way it used to be much better than the new version. I do however love the new soup and the accompanying arugala and sauce with falafal. The veggies were overcooked, that was very dissappointing...though undoubtedly the flavor was there. It just might have been the day and they have always been consistent, I hope this was just a one off.
Whenever we are in the area, we always make sure to dine at Cedars, even if it means taking a little detour to get there. It's definitely worth the drive! The food is authentic and delicious, with incredible flavors. We will definitely be returning!
The food here is amazing. It is a limited menu but I love the shawarma wrap and the entree. My husband loves the swag tacos. Anytime we are in the area we go there.
I finally chose the Chicken Shawarma Platter, which came with a generous serving of rice, a medley of cauliflower, green peppers, and onions, as well as a flour tortilla. The shawarma was packed with flavor and topped with a tangy sauce, making it a satisfying meal. To start, I had the Sudki Hummus, which was creamy and topped with pine nuts that added a delightful textural contrast—definitely a highlight of the meal. My friends ordered the falafel wrap, which was delicious and complemented by a spicy sauce that enhanced the flavors. They also tried the Arab Swag Tacos, a fantastic blend of flavors served generously with rice and a spicy sauce. As if the delicious food and excellent service weren't enough, we wrapped up our evening with a comedy fundraiser. The talent on stage was impressive, and I’m already looking forward to next month's show. I will definitely be trying the lamb barbacoa tacos next time!
