A great new option for fine dining on the north side. It was our first time dining here but we'll be back soon. The French onion soup was incredible, and we enjoyed the crispy rice, salad and short ribs a lot. The service was very attentive as well. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Brasserie C C. The owner made special cocktails as we briefly waited for our table, the service was solid and prompt, and our food was both interesting and delicious.
We visited and loved this place in the late summer when my companion moved to Edgewater and due to timing on our part, finally made it back when they returned after taking a break for the holidays. BCC has found its footing after its first year in this incarnation, we had a fabulous dinner! Cocktails to start were a Oaxacan Pomegranate (mezcal) for my while she had the Kingly Peach (house basil-infused vodka). We opted for two favorite appetizers, Wild Seafood Ceviche and Curried Cauliflower which were both better than we remembered (n.b., already our faves; for the cauliflower, request a spoon for the sauce; an earlier version was drier). Her dinner was the mushroom caper gnocchi while I opted for the special, smoked agnolotti which I seem to recall from one of their past 3-course specials. Overall, superb! Past favorites include their short rib and salmon. 3 course specials on many weekends, my secret hack is that sometimes appealing items could be ordered a la carte on Sunday if they are not already sold out. Also happy hour pricing on cocktails and regular appetizers 4-6 PM, great if you decide to eat earlier!
I went to the restaurant early on a snowy Friday evening before a show, and everything was fantastic. There were six of us, and we all left feeling very satisfied. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all delicious, and the service was excellent. We definitely plan to return.
This is my second time at Brasserie by C&C and the food was every bit as delicious as the first. The chef creates layers of flavors without the typical restaurant overreliance on salt. Sooo good and increasingly rare imo. Started off with the butter board just incredible. Had the Hamachi Crispy Rice, the short ribs, and a special which I can't remember at the moment...I do know we practically licked our plates. I recommend going with people who want to share so you can try more than one main. We wrapped up with the Donuts du Monde a fun, fresh nod to beignets. Service was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit!
