I always have a wonderful experience at Cafe Touche! I especially enjoyed the Jazz Duo.

Interestingly, some individuals connected to the aforementioned server have chosen to comment on my review through a business page I manage. Their responses reveal resentment and suggest that my review is to blame for the server's departure. It's important for any business owner to distinguish between a reasonable critique and an unfounded accusation. This illustrates the need for professionalism, even when faced with differing viewpoints. I believe my original review was fair and factual. If the server did leave, I maintain that one review alone cannot be solely responsible for that decision. As a result of the owner's prompt and thoughtful response to my concerns, I have decided to revise my rating to a strong 4-5 stars. I plan to return, appreciating the owner's willingness to address customer feedback. For context, here's my original review: I used to be a regular at this café, but today I decided to stop patronizing the place due to the service issues I encountered. 1. The first server interrupted my guest mid-sentence, assuming she knew what was being said, and said, "yeah, yeah, yeah, it’s all coming," before darting away. This had nothing to do with what my guest was trying to express. We ordered drinks, including a Ginger Beer on the Rocks with Lime. Unfortunately, the drink arrived in a pint glass, warm, with no ice and no lime. It wasn't a big deal—we simply got ice and lime from the bartender ourselves. 2. The second server was quite charming and delivered one round of drinks to our table. When I looked at the bill, it came to $80, and I left a $10 tip. Then, the server approached me and said, "Excuse me, but I thought we had a rapport. It’s customary to leave a 20% tip. Was there something wrong?" I instinctively reached for more cash, thinking I might have miscalculated. My guests stopped me, shocked by her comment, and insisted I shouldn't tip more just because she brought one drink. They pointed out that tips are usually not calculated on the total including tax. I put my cash back and left the tip as it was. This encounter was incredibly awkward. As we left, my friend politely clarified to the server that our tip was for the food and drinks, not the total including tax. My friend summed it up perfectly: "Never again." We were all quite taken aback by her approach. Overall, the service was disappointing.

We dined at Café Touché on New Year's Eve and once again had a fantastic experience. The food was exceptional, and the service was top-notch. The atmosphere is always warm, cozy, and romantic. Our waiter, Al, was wonderful. It's a perfect spot to enjoy without having to venture too far into the city.

The service is consistently excellent, and I also appreciate how frequently they update their specials.
