I never considered myself a coffee person until I was told about Cafe Jumping Bean. I highly recommend the Thai iced coffee and focaccia pizza; you won’t regret it! I make it a point to stop by almost every week and pick up that combo specifically. To top it all off, it’s always nice seeing the new artwork on the walls while you wait! View all feedback.
I’ve been stopping by for coffee here now for around 10 years. The coffee is always freshly brewed and never disappoints. I usually go for the cafe con leche. I’ve never had much of their food aside from the black bean burger. Which is always well made here so I usually stick to what I like.
Once upon a time, in a land called the 1990s, dinosaurs roamed the earth and coffee shops where people could unite to read, write and discuss ideas whilst sipping from giant mugs abounded. Cafe Jumping Bean proves joints like that still exist. Break away from the chains peddling caffeinated milkshakes and make a trip to Pilsen to support this longstanding institution. Coffee is strong, smooth and delicious. The bites they offer are exceedingly flavorful and filling. We tried both the Lox and Mollete (add avocado). Bright, cool, funky and inviting just like you remembered and thought the future would always be. Make a stop, get out of the car, and spend your money at a place with heart, soul and comfort intact. You know, like how coffee is supposed to be.
I haven't been here in quite a while but it is one of my all time favorite places to go when I'm in the area. Many beverages to choose from. Today I had a Mocha Almond Delight and it certainly was DEEE lightful. My friend had Chocolate Mexicano and her eyes widened with as she sipped said it was phenomenal. We also had an almond croissant (heated) and a coconut doughnut both very fresh and tasty. The line may be late ng but the service is quick, friendly and they don't miss a beat.

New Favorite Coffee place in Chicago! I just tried Cafe Jumping Bean out as I was searching to support non chain shops and was SO GLAD that I did! It's a small shop but with a big heart and super cool atmosphere in the corner of an historic building. Some of the most friendly and fast customer service I've ever had at a coffee shop or any other shop for that matter. You feel like family the way that they treat you. But great service doesn't matter unless there is also great product and Jumping bean DEFINITELY has GREAT coffee and food! You will find full flavored and smooth coffee, expertly prepared by the great staff. I had the Cuban sandwich which was probably the best Cuban I've had not greasy, full of quality meat cuts, toasted perfectly, and with the pickle slices cut right then by the hard working gentleman on the food prep job (not old pickle slices from a jar) nice job, guy! I DEFINITELY recommend this place for great coffee, a great Cuban, great service, and a family style welcome!
