My friends and I ate on brass monkey Saturday night. the restaurant is beautiful...love the 70s flair! eating was very good. the noise level was, however, unbea... read more My friends and I ate on brass monkey Saturday night. the restaurant is beautiful...love the 70s flair! eating was very good. the noise level was, however, unbearable. the restaurant and the bar are a huge room with high ceilings. there is no barrier between the bar (1/2 of the room) and the restaurant (the other 1/2 of the room.) in my opinion, there must be a kind of sound barrier to manage the noise. between the ingenious music (very hard to hear that I could add) and everyone talked it was really hard to hear the people I was with. that's not cool. I think it could be great if you were a tonbarriere tweaking. unfortunately, in the middle time, I won't return and would not recommend it to anyone.

The bar was not fully stocked, some entrees were sold out, and they forgot to bring us a dessert we ordered. The food we did receive was good, except for the monkfish entree which was undercooked. It seems like they may have been experiencing some last night blues.
