Our family is part Spanish and we spend a lot of time in Basque Country so we were excited to try this. Our waitress was so kind and attentive so we didn’t have the heart to tell her about the food. The albondigas were overcooked and dry. Tomato anchovy toast way too salty, even for anchovies. Wild mushrooms with egg were ok...great variety of high quality mushrooms, in a variety of sizes and shapes which led to some being undercooked and chewy while others were nicely done. Boquerones were so underwhelming...an expensive import that I wish had been cooked better and while we were told not to worry about deboning these, in fact bc of the way they were cooked it would not be a good idea to bite into one of these with bones in. One stand out was the pork terrine that my partner had. Spent about and really were disappointed. Again, service was great. Maybe kitchen just had an off night.

I personally had the braised pork shoulder (yum) with carrots that melted in your mouth. Grilled asparagus was ok but the crispy fingerlings made up for it. Def worth a visit and maybe a repeat!

Although the staff seemed overwhelmed and our food took a while, everyone was incredibly friendly and apologetic throughout, and they made sure we were well taken care of in the end. We will definitely be returning. The food was fantastic—some of the best desserts I’ve had in years, and the salad with truffle added a delightful twist that really made the evening. The cocktails were outstanding!
