Beacon Tavern - Chicago

Beacon burger and fish and chips were delicious. the seats in the open had a great view of the river/flow. great for people looking. there were heating between the tables so that outside seats were warm on a cool october night.

Fantastic cocktails and service when phenomenal! such care and details in the diners and drinks, really a wonderful experience!

I hesitate to even write this knowing the difficulty restaurants are faced with. My heart bleeds for restaurant owners right now. That said, my wife and son were at the restaurant just prior to the COVID shutdowns. They thought the food was great and it was a great value. This time around it seemed like they skimped on the meals. I had the ahi tuna salad and it only had a few pieces of fish and was mostly romaine lettuce. My wife had the scallops and there were only 5 very small ones. And the 23.00 blue crab dip was small. I know they need to watch , but not at the expense of the quality and quantity of the food. I wish them the very best!

Beacon Tavern never disappoints! This is the first restaurant we went to since March and it was wonderful. I had the fish stew and it was outstanding! We were a bit reluctant eating indoors but when we saw how seriously the staff followed the Covid 19 guidelines we all relaxed.

Great spot and the staff is super respectful and professional given the environment. The drinks were excellent the Rum Punch and the Old Fashioned were outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
