Absolutely unreal sandwich experience. One of the most incredible sandwiches I have ever eaten. While staff could’ve been more attentive and not on the phone while making my food and then handing me the wrong item, the sandwich made up for it and more. Unbelievably tasty, absolutely jaw dropping flavors, and this is not an option when you come to Chicago. They do have multiple locations!
The best sandwich in the world!! Got my bag searched at the airport trying to get one home... totally worth it. If I lived in Chicago they would be my death. The service was excellent, too. Knew I was from out of town and hadnt had in years so the guy did everything he could to make everything great and one sandwich ready to go in my carry on. Do yourself a favor... get a dipped Italian Beef wit hot peppers at Al's.
Can't believe I have visited Chicago this many times and this was the first time I have been. If you have not had an Italian beef, find this place and be amazed! So delicious!
Delicious Chicago cuisine! They offer everything from Chicago-style hot dogs to Italian beef, and it's all worth a try at least once. The beef is particularly tasty, especially when soaked in the juice. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up eating here twice before leaving. The prices are reasonable, and the standing seating arrangement creates plenty of space for other diners.
The Italian Beef sandwich exceeded my expectations. Al's has been on my food bucket list ever since I saw it highlighted on Man V Food. I ordered the Regular Italian Beef with hot and sweet peppers, provolone cheese, and I had it dipped. The French fries were also quite delicious. If I ever find myself back in Chicago, this will definitely be one of my go-to spots!
