We went to Sushi Ko for my son's birthday. He has been an avid sushi eater since he was 3. We enjoyed the food thoroughly. He would rate Sushiko up there with NOBU and BondSt NYC. Sushiko was too notch in food and service. It is a great place to enjoy a special occasion. Those Brussel sprouts! Wow! Of course the omakasi sushi was outstanding.

We sat by the lounge enjoyed happy hour day's specials, really fresh sashimi sushi! Courteous staff, especially our server Bo who guided us through our food choices made my husband's birthday celebration memorable much appreciated!

Simply the freshest and tastiest sushi and sashimi I have ever had. The omakase sushi and sashimi just melts in your mouth. The sashimi cuts are also generous. Service was excellent.

Sushiko is a great restaurant for a casual get together but not exactly what one expects at one of DC's top sushi restaurants. Little things like low/medium quality wooden chopsticks that splinter when split, the waiter forgetting to read the specials out and forgetting to bring napkins to the table, bringing the food out in a strange sequence with several dishes lumped together crowding the table, cleaning person not cleaning the table properly in between courses, a lot of noise being generated by the restaurant staff, and initially not accommodating a strong seating preference due to a medical condition for my guest that I had included with reservation request despite more than adequate space to be able to do so were blemishes on the experience. The food was a solid 7/10. The toro was very good (but not excellent) as was the mussel miso. The rainbow roll was so so. There was no low sodium option for soy sauce on the table.

The food here is always excellent, but the service feels rushed, like a busy pancake house on a Sunday morning. They bring out the meals and seem eager to get you on your way. A dinner for four friends that should typically take 90 to 120 minutes was compressed into just 45 minutes. When we expressed that we wanted to keep chatting, our waitress looked at us with a confused expression.
