The tap beer is raunchy. It is not properly chilled and tastes soapy and flat. I do not think the taps have been properly maintained since the current owners purchased the place. My son and I split a pizza and both wanted a salad so the salad bar was the only option. Bartender never warned us that pizza doesn't count as a meal and we were charged $24 for two small salads and a cup of soup. With tax and tip thats more than $30. Very disappointed. My other sisters was so spicy hot she had to take it home and clean it up. Wouldn't you think they would ask you if you wanted that. We all spent over 30.00 on our meal and it was a waste of our time and money. I doubt if we will ever go back. By the way soup was good. Food: 2

The chicken was crispy and packed with flavor, while the coleslaw was creamy and delicious. The tater tots were also quite tasty. My dining companions appreciated their bang bang shrimp and hamburger, along with their respective sides. One friend tried the perch tacos; they looked appealing but she found them lacking in flavor. Strangely, they were served with a plain cup of white rice. As for the service, it seemed that the staff, possibly impacted by shortages—likely in the kitchen—could have been more attentive. Our young waiter appeared distracted by various tasks throughout the restaurant. While this may not have been entirely his fault, it did detract from our overall experience. Having dined here several times over the years, I would say the restaurant is still worth a visit.

Th... read more This spot was a the view from our outdoor table on a perfect late summer evening. We were so impressed with Gillian's we went twice during our vacation here. There was live music both nights and the atmosphere was incredible. The staff were very nice and fast. The food quality was also great and above what you might think is bar food! I recommend their chicken wings, volcanic nachos, and shrimp basket.

When I mentioned it, they refused to prepare a replacement and didn't offer any discount for it. We also ordered a pizza to take home and specifically requested it to be well-done, but it ended up being burnt instead. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit as a family of 11 to this restaurant.

When checking out, my parents (who are retired and were excited to pay for their kid?s dinner) tried to use a $100 gift card given to them as a gift forChristmas in 2021 and their debit card for the remainder of the balance. The waitress returned and informed my parents theycould not honor the $100 gift card, as it was issued under the previous owners. She was very apologetic which was appreciated.We asked to talk to the manager just to see if there was anything he/she could do for my parents. Sadly, discussing thesituation with the manager was extremely disappointing and disheartening. A few of us in our family have been in the serviceindustry for years and would never dream of what the manager did? She said she couldn?t do anything for us and nor would the newowners. She also laughed when we said we would leave a review. I feel saddened for the new ownership, that they have manager(s)that A. Do not believe in their ownership B. do not have a manager with creative problem solving skills C. Doesn?t give genuineapologies D. Have many day to day obstacles to deal with but have to put out fires due to a manager(s). I left a 1 star as youcannot leave a zero. The new ownership is more than welcome to connect with me as I would be happy to talk about how theirmanager belittled him/her. $100 now is thousands later with local loyal customers. I would hate to see that money lost for thenew owners due to one manager but we will not be supporting Gillian?s if this is not remedied.

I would often come here with my dog, and we would sit outside, soaking in the beautiful lakeside atmosphere complete with benches and tables. I loved ordering at the bar and bringing my food out myself. However, I recently encountered an issue when I was denied food service due to a new policy regarding cleanliness outside. It was a lovely fall day around 4 PM, and yet they wouldn't serve me food on their own patio. This is quite strange. This place really needs better management, improved service, or new owners who are willing to accommodate all customers, not just regulars. I'm disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere, like the Caddy Shack, where the customer service is consistently excellent.

The cocktails are fantastic, and the atmosphere is really enjoyable. The bartenders are consistently friendly and laid-back. There's a lovely outdoor area right by the lake as well. They've recently changed owners, but the cocktails are still as incredible as ever. The food is decent, but not the highlight.
