The Pistachio Chicken linguini at this restaurant is the best pasta I have ever had. The spinach salad was fresh and the strawberries were a pleasant surprise. My husband enjoyed the pan-fried Schellfische, cooked perfectly. We only wish that the homemade French fries had more flavor. The coconut cream pancake was delicious! What User doesn't like about Trellis Cafe:
this is close to where we live and has a few veg options. the African peanut soup is pretty good (although the last time I had it was very bland, hopefully just anomaly). they have a veggie burger that is decent, but they can't get the Bombay sauce when they're vegan. Not bad without, and I'm sure they'd replace. they also have a masaman curry that is also quite good! except that there are a few salads that they can... View all feedback.
Didn 't get to eat...they were unable to serve the sandwiches we ordered as the had no BREAD. NO diabetic friend Ly drinks but coffee, tea and water. Waiter was great, even asked for us if the sandwiches could be made a burger buns due to the lack of bread. 'NO ' the portly owner barked. Within 10 feet of us, a table of four willing to pay just south of $20 for a sandwich (turkey, not lobster and caviar). This tore it. A rude, idiot of an owner, chasing paying customers out for the sake of 2 burger buns. A really poor showing, and I speak from experience, having worked in many capacities for 17 years at McKelvie 's restaurant in Halifax.
