What Malcolm Jones doesn't like about Hanging Gate Inn:
No dogs allowed in the pub. It was too windy to sit outside so didn't stop, so we cannot comment on food, service and atmosphere. 3 stars because no dogs allowed inside. Drove to an alternative pub not far away where we knew we could take our dog inside. Disappointed that we could not take our dog in. I visited this restaurant while staying nearby. Hillary and her partner, whose name I didn't catch, were very welcoming and friendly. The views from the restaurant were incredible and unmatched. The drinks were tasty and reasonably priced. The locals were also friendly and seemed welcoming. It was nice to feel like a part of their community, even if only for a short time.
