During our visit in Cherkassy, a bunch of us wanted to find a cozy yet full of character place to have dinner and maybe a few drinks. After some debate we thought to give Kim Bar a try. It exceeded our expectations in many ways and then some. It's a perfect place for anyone out of town, just looking to have a good time and judging by the full house, favorite place among locals. The food leaves you feeling like that critic in the final scene of Ratatouille and the cocktails are made with fine attention to detail out of premium liquors. That being said, the prices were as surprising as anything else in the bar. You leave without the feeling as if your wallet just took a huge dump. Even when packed, the place didn't feel cramped nor music disturbed your conversation. People I saw were as different as the cocktails offered. Lots of young, pretty girls, yet I found an elderly party of four taking a what seemed to be their first ever selfie. Service is another thing I took a shine to right off the bat. Not only the personnel was able to suggest something every time I was unsure but they also made sure it was something I'd really enjoy. There really is a lot to talk about but I feel that the next time I'll be on this side of the pond, I hope to get another chance to spend an evening at Kim Bar, and might even urge you to do the same.
