Visited Sunday 21/04/2024 at midday. Had garlic bread starter which I shared with my wife and we both agreed it was one of the nicest we’ve had. Tried the meatball piccante and my wife had the gnocchi for our mains. All good. Though initially my pasta seemed cold but it hadn’t been well mixed with the meatball sauce which was hot. What stjohnbickley doesn't like about Ask Italian:
Upon arrival, I inquired about a gluten-free menu and was pleased to find out they had one. However, we were then informed that their flyer had been broken for a week, resulting in no fries or courgettes fritti available. It was disappointing that they hadn't gotten a replacement in that time. We had a light meal in the early evening when the restaurant wasn't busy. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were attentive and friendly. Waitress Scarlett provided excellent service.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend this place.
