I got the shrimp with garlic. Oh my goodness was it wonderfu! The shrimp is fresh and crispy and the portion is very generous. It is served with these fabulous potatoes. I hesitate to call them French fries because they were not the size or...shape of French fries but they were fried crisp. There were mostly locals there on my visit. The prices are very low for the quality of food and the quantity.

I've been eating here about once a week for the last year. Great seafood fish. Ceviche, octopus, shrimp, the big fish, pesca frito, several styles of pasta with cream or tomato sauce. Chicken cordon blue, they call it relleno chicken, tgey serve the traditional...Yucatan way with several botanas appitizers gratis so basically you get a meal before the meal.... I always take most of my meal home! This is authentic Mexico so locals as well as tourists eat here. You'll see some huge Merida families come in for the afternoon. Great deals can be found from the vendors who pass by selling shirts, hammocks, toys and desserts ..... Most of the restaurants here do not offer dessert as there is a vendor outside selling coconut pie, cookies, creams, and another guy with a tray of sweets on his head so the restaurants work together with them share the business ... Holidays through the summer musicians oasis though with a few songs
