This is one of the best restaurants in Lewis County, offering high-quality urban cuisine in a small-town setting. Additionally, the staff is among the best I've encountered across the United States. What User doesn't like about Mackinaw's:
Service was mediocre at best. We were rushed through from the moment we sat down. We were still eating one course when the next one arrived. I had to hold my finished dish so the server could place the new dish at my place. We got asked about our entrée after we were 3/4 through. The food was blah. I called to make a reservation, but the message indicated that the restaurant is no longer in business. This was as of June 29, 2023.
I checked in advance and was told that no reservation was necessary. When I arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty, yet I was informed that they were fully booked and couldn’t seat us. We decided to leave and went to the sushi restaurant next door, where we had a fantastic experience.
We visited on a night when there was a large party happening upstairs (definitely not a quiet evening), but the food was excellent, the service was great, and it turned out to be a memorable experience.
First visit loved this place. Food is outstanding, Service is excellent, atmosphere is cozy! Highly recommend!
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is consistently incredible, and the menu frequently changes, which I appreciate. The staff is not only friendly but also very efficient. I highly recommend making a reservation. I will definitely be returning...very soon! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
