Why go to those hipster expensive joints on the Southside and wait 45 minutes for a table and get terrible service from some millennial?

Our waitress was lovely and left us smiling. Meat and 3 was less than $10 before tip. You can view the menu on their website. The regular menu stays the same. They post the daily specials each day which includes the meat andveggie/sides selections. They do have separate desserts you can buy, but they have several desserts listed that you can order asone of their sides. I got the chicken fried chicken with white gravy , mashed potatoes with brown gravy (I forgot to specifywhite gravy for those since I usually prefer it; the brown gravy was good though), fried okra and peach cobbler. My friend gotthe banana pudding as one of her sides and we split the desserts so we could try both. We both liked the peach cobbler. Weweren't impressed with the banana pudding. It was ok. We were hoping for an old fashioned homemade banana pudding, but it waslighter in color than we expected and had an artificial banana flavoring taste. This was the 3rd time I have eaten in andordered take out another time. The service is always good. The meat and veggies are always good. The veggies taste home cookedand NOT like they were just poured out of a can. I will eat there again when I am in the area when they are open.

The ONLY complaint I have is how bland the grits and eggs were... I guess it's a season it yourself kind of deal.The blueberries were oozing out of the pancakes ????. An amazing job! I definitely plan on coming again before leavingTennessee! Prices have gone up a little, but it is still very affordable and worth stopping by!
