HANDS DOWN the best catfish I have ever had! I ordered mine Cajun-style and it was absolutely delicious! The hushpuppies, okra, slap em sauce, and tarter sauce were also all 10/10. The slaw was very good but I prefer mine a tad sweeter... but slaw is just one of those preference things. Definitely wont hold it against them because it was still plenty edible. Problem is, the AC is too minimal to be comfortable in the summer and, although the fish is perfect, a sandwich means two slices of store bread naked. Now you can get tartar sauce with the fish, but The service is welcoming, but not instructional. View all feedback.

Food has always been excellent. This time the was terrible. No slaw on hotdog, didn't receive onion rings and wrong size okra. Terrible!!
I ordered a 2-piece fish plate from Uncle Larry's on Brainerd over the phone. However, when I got home, I realized they had given me a shrimp plate instead. I went back to exchange it and finally received my fish plate. Unfortunately, the fish was fried too hard and I did not enjoy it at all. It was a disappointing experience and I felt like it was a waste of my money. This happened on May 26th, 2022.
Uncle Larry's is a hidden gem that is worth discovering. Despite its unassuming exterior, the food and service are excellent. I now make the drive from Alabama just to dine at this restaurant, and I am never disappointed.
