Primo - Chattanooga
Primo
Description
Visiting 7 Hills for dinner, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly, although the pub food during happy hour was just okay. However, the seafood dishes at dinner were described as terrible, leaving much to be desired. Despite the disappointing entrees, the late-night entertainment provided by the DJ was enjoyable. Another group had high expectations but were left disappointed by the service and quality of food. On the other hand, a customer praised the excellent customer service and food at Il Primo. While some guests encountered issues with the waitstaff, others highlighted the delicious food and impressive service, particularly from a server named Alan who went above and beyond. Overall, experiences at 7 Hills and Il Primo varied from disappointing meals to excellent service and enjoyable dining experiences.

We did call ahead seating for 7, we had to wait for 30 minutes to be seated (not bad). The food and service was great.
Fantastic! This is our first time trying Il Primo and we were very happy with the service and food. We had grilled peaches with prosciutto and basalmic reduction for appetizer- delicious! I had the capellini and shrimp and Mike had the lasagna. Both wereoutstanding and we will enjoy them again because the portions are HUGE! I will be back and will recommend to my out of townclients as well!
Excellent pricey Italian place. Little on the upscale side. No dish under $15 dollars. Crowded and loud for Monday night. Excellent service and food though. No reservation needed when we went. May be different on weekends. Got a 4 cheese penne pastawith a butternut squash soup. Both were excellent. Obviously made in kitchen with fresh ingredients.
11/21 One of the BEST MEALS OF MY LIFE. Seriously, if you’re reading this review and wondering if it’s worth the time, drive, effort, money the answer is YES!!!! Staff recommended the mushroom ravioli and it did not disappoint. Other reviewsmentioned the sangria it, too, was on point. The lemoncello was on point. There was a special of a salad with apple,Gorgonzola, candied pecans, and an apple cider vinaigrette oh my goodness. My boyfriend got the chicken Marsala chicken wasmoist, sauce was magnificent. Truly a great date night place. Men, take your girl here. Women, it’s 2021, take your man here.???? All joking aside, you will not regret anything you order here. 7/22 Still just as delicious as ever. Had the specials. Forappetizers, grilled peaches with prosciutto and a balsamic vinegar drizzle, and the caprese. Both were amazing in every way. Thepeaches were such a delight, balancing sweet and salty. For our entrees, we ordered the pork special, which was very similar toa Bolognese. So delicious! Other members of our group ordered the pork scallopini (seriously one of the best dishes offered) andthe lasagna with spinach noodles. The lasagna was so creamy. A problem most Italian restaurants have is all the red sauce dishesseem to taste similar. Not here. Everything has its own flavor. Everything is its own adventure. I recommend call aheadreservations for seating.
