Was Sedrick Renner at Huong Lua a mag?
Really excellent Vietnamese food. Some of the best, if not the best, I've had in Sydney. The pork banh mi was genuinely fresh (crispy, fresh baguette and fresh-tasting high-quality meat rather than processed meat). The duck with onion marmalade was plump and flavourful. What Patsy McGlynn dislikes about Huong Lua:

Not everyone likes a modern take on an Asian classic but when done right can be great and with this establishment they've come close to it. Whilst not every dish gets hit out of the park, they do a great way to verbal job of modernizing the dishes to incorporate western tastes. Personally I prefer the authentic stuff but if you're in the area give it a go

The food here is delicious, so fresh and great sizes for sharing. The scallops were wonderful, and the pho is as good as Vietnam. I love the modern twist. Will definitely return.

Great food and presentation. The goat curry with taro was very tasty. Best phoe in town as the stock is made on a daily base.
