Great drinks selection. There are two seperate sections; one for a bar and one for the restaurant. We enjoyed the garden ambience of the bar and also order a couple of entrees to enjoy with the cocktails.Presentation of the cocktails could be better but they tasted good. View all feedback.
What Food N Ser Critic doesn't like about 465 The Avenue:
This place used to have friendly staff and great quality food. However, not anymore. This fish and chips used to be lots of chips and a larger fish fillet (plate size). Today, I got a handful of chips and three fish strips (finger size). They should have called “fish strips and chips”. I will never go back to this place again. Not even for drinks. Unfriendly staff. You will run out of business very soon. View all feedback.
I can only really comment on the drinks and Bar snacks as I haven't eaten here in a while. The cocktail list is good, and standard cocktails that aren't listed can be made on request.
I would not recommend this place. I'm very big on service, and the service was horrendous. I don't think one of the waitresses even smiled that night. Even when they came around and asked if everything was ok, they seems liked they absolutely hated their jobs and did not want to be there at all. I went with a group of colleagues, and 3 of us ordered the lamb. My friend specifically requested that her lamb be cool medium rare. When the lamb dishes came out, my friend asked if her one was the medium rare one, and the waitress snapped that they were all cooked medium rare. Two of them were cooked well done, and one was rare. My friend ordered the noodle salad and said it was horrible. Only good thing would be the entrees. The salt and pepper squid and the baked Brie were delicious. But not enough to save my overall impression. Will not be returning here.

We came here for and early dinner on a quiet weekday night. Service was friendly but for how empty the place was, food service was quite slow. I enjoyed the arancini and shepherd's pie. Portions are on the small side. Overall the food was good and this was a nice place to chat, dine and wine.
Came here for a group function and it is not really set up for that unless you book the whole venue. We were split into two tables, although right next to one another it was not easy to mingle as space is tight - in fact one of the waitress ask my colleague 'sit down now as I'll be serving dinner' yes needless to say that service was very average, and at one stage a waiter literally slam the cutlery bowl on the table. We had some boards for sharing and it was quite tasteless apart from the pate; the vegetarian board was a little more tastier. Overall the food was average and would not be back again but maybe if you're just across the road from Mantra & don't feel like Asian food then this place is the best choice.
