We stopped here for the second time last night on our way to Brittany, and once again we were delighted. The hotel has a wonderful historical charm, surpassed only by the charm and friendliness of the entire team. From the thoughtful touches for my wife, whose birthday we celebrated during our stay, to the dog bed for our four-legged friend. The hotel boasts two fantastic restaurants; you can't go wrong with either (one has a Michelin star, but the brasserie is also excellent! . The signature dessert (Grand Marnier soufflé is simply divine—a must-try. You can end the evening in the lovely hotel bar. I also can't recall ever having such a wonderful breakfast buffet in France. Everything here is just perfect! Thank you very much and see you soon! P.S.: Chartres is a wonderful city that has so much more to offer than just the cathedral!

The hotel is very well located in the city centre, the welcome was perfect and the rooms very pleasant.

Passing through Chartres with my young son, we stayed for three days at the Grand Monarque de Chartres. An exceptional experience: the location itself, a charming former coaching inn, was delightful! The room was spacious with refined decor (we were, in fact, upgraded). The service was impeccable, the housekeepers were discreet. Meals at the La Cour bistro were enjoyable. At reception, a special mention goes to Wolfgang, who was very professional and friendly. We had stayed here before this trip, and we will definitely return!

Absolutely perfect. But be careful not to raise prices too much.

A beautiful, historic hotel, ideally located (10-minute walk from the cathedral and shopping streets). The welcome was perfect, the parking was perfect (with the option to charge electric cars at a good price), the Catherine de Medici room was regal, and the breakfast was varied and generous. We also had a very pleasant time at the spa, although the herbal tea selection lacked variety and flavor (a detox drink that didn 't really taste like anything, and a hot infusion that also lacked flavor; we would have liked a bit more choice). We ended the evening at Madrigal, which was very nice! We felt pampered this weekend, which is exactly what we wanted. Thank you to the whole team!
