The halibut, seafood chowder, and sticky date pudding are standout dishes. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area. Whether you're a seafood lover or looking for gluten-free options, Claddagh Oyster House has something for everyone. Reservations are recommended as it can get busy, but the experience is well worth it. Don't miss out on this gem in PEI!.
Managed a solo walk-in dinner this evening and had a fantastic meal: a single Savage Blonde oyster to tick one off the bucket list, the #BestofSea entree option (halibut grenobloise with lobster, scallops, bacon, and assorted goodness; atmosphere alone prevented me from licking the plate! , and finished with Neapolitan cheesecake with cinnamon whipped cream. Staff were pleasant and genuine. Make a reservation and make sure this one is on your list to visit!
So amazing. Food was spectacular. We sat at the bar and talked with staff. Pat was really amazing and definitely recommend going here for any kind of event. Must go to restaurant in Charlottetown for sure!!!! Oysters were delicious and mussels were even better.
We enjoyed our dining experience immensely. Our plates were decadent and we found our welcoming waiter Brian to be an excellent source of information from wine pairing to local delights. We can’t thank you enough it was a truly memorable evening!
I enjoyed the overall experience but I would choose Sims over Claddagh if you have the choice. I found the food and service a touch below what I experienced at Sims (I ate there the day before). Service wasn't particularly warm, the ambience a bit dated, and while the food was delicious it was a notch below what I was expecting.
Service, food and atmosphere are all top notch! I highly recommend a visit when in Charlottetown :
