Yuanho Gao Chinese Zhōng Guó Cān Tīng Wài Mài

Very solid Chinese restaurant. Do not expect a beautiful atmosphere, but the quality of food is quite good. I recommend the Mapo Tofu, with an excellent and complex fungal taste.

I have eaten here for JAHRE!!!! I was a meat eater, then change to vegetarian and they still keep me satisfied with great food that holds me a few days at a meal!!!!

Have a great selection of american chinese food. Big and fresh chunks of veggies, which is my marker of a good place. I had the hunan chicken, schezuan beef, and kung pao chicken. All delicious. The wonton soup broth tastes scratch made, which was impressive.

I don?t know what happened with some of y?all, but I lived in Cville for two years 2019-2021) and I ordered a lunch or dinner special religiously from Yuan Ho, sometimes more than twice a week, and never had any complaints. In fact, their General Tso?s chicken sesame chicken are so consistently good that I can?t order either of those things from any Chinese restaurant in my new city, because every single one is so much worse than Yuan Ho? and that?s saying something. My food was always hot, crispy, juicy, delicious? so good that I didn?t even consider ordering anything else. Service was prompt and polite. I can?t speak for most of the other dishes on the menu, but my vegetarian roommate at the time always ordered the Eggplant Tofu at least once a week) and also loved it. I?d suggest going during a time when they?re not overwhelmed with other orders, but as I say? I ate there at various times of day more than once a week for 2 years, and I was never disappointed. I miss Yuan Ho so much that I often think about driving back to Cville just to get lunch, and it?s 3 hours away now. 5 stars for awesome food, I?m just sad I don?t live around the corner anymore :

I ordered Hunan Chicken Dinner Special and General Tso Chicken dinner Dinner. My fried rice was dry and tasted old like it was from the previous day. Hunan Chicken had very little flavor and no spice. The General Tso had about 6 pieces of chicken and majority broccoli. Definitely won?t be returning!
