They came here since they were in downtown and followed them their new place. I'm glad we made it! Some of the best Gelato in the state and definitely in the Charlottesville area. You can try so many different types that are all unique and burst with taste. The salted caramel was great as the JBird coffee gelato, which was like a creamy cold brew. Yum. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Splendora's Gelato:
2 stars because we need gelato place in C'ville. Way too little selection of flavors. I ordered a flavor that was extremely low in the container (almost none) expecting they'll bring out a new container... Instead, she was scraping the bottom to make barely a scoop. Hmmm, no tks. Changed a flavor but a small portion for the price. This place has changed since they moved from downtown.

Delicious homemade gelato. The milk-free chocolate is amazing- dark and rich. Couples well with so many other flavors....like Mexican coffee, coconut, passion fruit and mango. Hard to choose because it is all SO GOOD!
Splendora is so good! You have milk free options and many flavors likely 15 20. Moreover, their prices are always reasonable and the hazelnut is to die. After many years when I enjoy her gelato, I never came across an employee who was not great. Very good.
Splendy is our target in C'ville. Dairy-free or gelato options have never disappointed, and we love it, a pint to-go!
This place has been around literally for a long time and I am glad they still are. I haven't had them since I left school but they still have same great taste and flavors. I always get sampler platter to share and they luckily still had that. Unfortunately because of pandemic they had to serve in disposable plate but the flavors I got were great. Chocolate, ube, hazel nut, cookies and cream, straciatella, and peach. Please try them as they are really good and they wipe every credit card usage which was also awesome during this time. Thank you!
