The food was delicious and the staff was very accommodating, especially when it came to addressing dietary restrictions such as vegan options and potential allergens in the sauces.
Went for lunch, orden fried chicken, kimchi rice and dumplings. The chicken was GROSS, DISGUSTING. Look if it was fried frozen or its was old but was dry and was not eatable feel like rubber inside, the rice taste like rice with hot sauce not flavor at all, dumplings was ok/good. We are use to eat authentic korean food in DC or NOVA, for sure this is not authentic at all. Don’t understand how this restaurant can have good reviews when they serve mediocre food. I pay $65 after tip and it was a waste of money. No recommended at all, don’t waste your money.
I visited the restaurant around 1pm on a Saturday for lunch and it was not too crowded. I ordered pork dumplings and dolsot bibimbap with beef, both of which were delicious. The server even showed me how to properly mix all the ingredients for maximum flavor. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a peaceful ambiance. They also have a fantastic selection of beer and cocktails.
Small shotgun style layout restaurant with a wait, but the food is definitely worth the wait!! Authentic Korean menu, nice staff, quick service, and delicious food! We definitely will be back!
We Maru for their selection of great Korean vegetarian food. Our favorites are Maru Fried Rice with Tofu, Fried Vegetable Dumplings, Dolsot Bibimbap with Tofu, the Banchan. The Dolsot Bibimbap came out in a sizzling hot bowl! Great outdoor seatingon Charlottesville?s Downtown Mall.
