The food here surpasses all other Latin restaurants in town, without a doubt. The Honduran dishes are outstanding, and the meats are cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The carne asada is so good it could inspire poetry, and the burritos are large enough to park a mobile home on!
When I evaluate a Mexican restaurant, I consider its location and the quality of its chips and salsa. A restaurant in an unexpected spot intrigues me. Any eatery can thrive in a bustling area, but if a place can succeed on a lesser-known street, it usually means people are seeking it out for the delicious food. Moreover, the chips and salsa reveal a lot about a Mexican restaurant. Are the chips freshly made or from a bag? Is the salsa distinctive or just standard? In the case of Cactus, it’s tucked away in a less-traveled location, yet it serves fantastic chips and salsa.
The shrimp taco was incredible! I absolutely love Mexican food, and these had a delightful surprise. You definitely need to give them a try!
Great food and drink. Chips are very thick and tasty. We had beers, margaritas, quesadilla, chimichanga, tamale, steak fajitas and enchiladas. Everyone was very happy with their food. Service was decent.
