This is my new go-to place in northern New Brunswick. It is off the highway but sooo worth the detour! Charming little restaurant overlooking the water. Small menu featuring local fish/seafood. It's a excellent place to eat for vegetarians, family, friends, we have always been served excellent food at Moulin a Cafe.

Although I live miles away in another country and Dalhousie is my hometown, it was high time for me to stop by and try out this restaurant. Full disclosure: I'm friends with the owner's niece and she has been posting pictures of the chef's plates on Facebook for years. I was tired of salivating from my couch so I told a friend of mine that we were going for lunch before I returned home. We knew Christian, the main chef, was not working that day, but we were delighted with the seafood chowder we tried for lunch. It was velvety and tasty and it did not disappoint. The bread that came with it was equally deserving of a five star. We had tasted the restaurant's sugar pie the night before when my friend (niece's owner) brought one at our dinner party the night before and it is reminiscent of my mom's own take on the sugar pie. Delish! The restaurant overlooks the Bay of Chaleur and the view is amazing. It is very small in size, so reservations are a must for dinner. I will definitely go back when I return home to visit and get together with my girls.
Had lunch and dinner on the same day and loved both meals.Although the men is limited, there are enough choices to meets the desires of most people. Includes pasta, seafood and pizzas. Desert menu is endless, Includes berry pies of all kinds and in season fruit concoctions.limited seating, stair access to upper level *where washroom are located.decor: simple but elegannt; recently updated with large chalkboard menuair condionnedparking in front and at the rear (with back door entry). service: beyond good. These people will go out of their way to make your meal great. They will cater to special diets and will make a meal to suit your dietary limitations. I go back ever year, it's that good!
Food is absolutely amazing. Presentation is like Hells Kitchen. You have to pinch yourself and ask if you are eating at a little cafe overlooking the Bay of Chaleur or eating in a high end restaurant. The Chef and staff are amazing!
