Nice restaurant in the South Charleston hill zone. Asian market on the street. My favorite dishes are the red and green curries with tofu, herbal tempura, herbal spring rolls, Yam Rolle and Hunan Tofu. Make use of three dining areas. View all feedback.
What Passout doesn't like about Taste of Asia Restaurant :
Nothing on the menu is marked so you need help from the staff and our server was totally unhelpful so we had to stick to the things we could count on which greatly limited the options. We had miso soup, seaweed salad, vegetable roll, bean curd hunan style, and eggplant w/ garlic sauce. The miso soup was just ok. It didn't have chunks of tofu, mushrooms, and vegetables like I usually get. Everything else was good. View all feedback.
This place is pretty awesome! The crying tiger salad has me addicted! It's my go to everyone I visit.
The food isn't too badHusband had a beef noodle dishIt was pretty basic soy/ peanut oil taste.
Cozy placeKind and helpful staffTheir sushi is amazingAnything black Rice is a good choice, honestly.
Remember, that was my first time here. Maybe it was just a one-time bad experience. every dish except the mistsuppe was not amusing. the roasted tofu was served almost cold and muddy. the diving sauce was watery and tasteless. on the sweet potato tempoura sushi, the tempura was also muddy the whole thing was a tasteless muddy goo. it was as if someone deep fritted the sweet potato and let it sit on the counter all day then packed in rice. I couldn't eat more than one piece. nothing was good. even the one I ordered. I have often had this brand and knows how good it tastes and how it tastes. the wee I was served, tasted awful. Maybe it was just a bad bottle. service was friendly. I am very futile and trying to find the silver cladding in things, but the experience was so bad I won't be back. when they find themselves in this opposite, they try thai elephant next door. updated by previous review on 2022-08-24
