If you... read more Decided to try a local diner and found this place. Take my family and have to enjoy a good breakfast! I'd say this is a solid mid-level breakfast place. If you are looking for superfancy attention on menu details, or homemade specialties or dressings, this is not THAT place. If you just want a good cup of coffee and a delicious meal that will not break your bags, they will have you. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bacon Apple Fritter Sandwich (which is exactly what it sounds like chicken, bacon and cheese between two slices of a roasted cider), my family ordered the chicken fried steak, and also the two and two breakfasts, and a cinnamon roll. I also have coffee. The coffee was decent, not the strongest, but not super weak. It was a little waiting between ordering our food, and getting everything; but I noticed that most of our waiting staff were older. I don't know if this is always the case, but I notice that I decided to be very patient. (And if this is the usual staff, and you complain about the delay, shame about you. The food was delicious! I was a little empty from the apple butter sandwich, but it was crispy and bacon cheesy with just a touch of sweet from the frit bread! Really good effin, and I highly recommend trying it if you sweet hot crispy taste! The regular breakfast items were well made and quite standard, bacon, eggs, etc. Nothing unusual, but nothing terrible. The land fried steak was crispy and good, and covered with a good amount of gravity. We had American frits (the clobular fried potato bites type), and they could have been a lil-bit warp, but they were well cooked and delicious. Oh, yeah, we also had French toast, and that was butter and syrup. Nothing extraordinary (such as compote, or homemade syrup, or something) but a solid good French toast! Overall, I feel like a decent local breakfast joint with solid food. The prices weren't crazy, and the food was decent. The staff was nice enough, and the place was Minnesotan Cabin Style Decor (Cabin-chic, if you want), and clean. If you want a good mid-level breakfast experience, I recommend it! I have plans to go back and try the Bagel Burger, and maybe the bacon and cream cheese Omelette! Enjoy!
