Finally, a mixed burrito, no longer bite in just sour cream! That was my favorite Burrito place back to college, better than Chipotle every day. I introduced it to a friend who visits Texas, and he insists that we drive 3 hours every time he visits. All right. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Pancheros Mexican Grill:
Pancheros has always given me good food. However the past couple times I have visited the customer service has gone down hill. Today’s visit consisted employees moving way to fast and not adding things to the burrito we asked for and completely forgetting drinks for our meal. So we had to do another transaction for the drinks. Not to mention the poor hygiene of the female that made our burrito, makes you loose an app... View all feedback.
Finally, a mixed burrito that doesn't just have a mouthful of sour cream! This place was my favorite for burritos back in college—better than Chipotle any day. I introduced it to a friend who comes to Texas, and now he insists we make a three-hour drive every time he visits. I'm on board with that!
Unfortunately, it appears that they didn't survive the pandemic, and they were my favorite restaurant in both Champaign and Urbana. The owner was always friendly and even treated me to complimentary meals on several occasions. Once, I received a free burrito! Champaign lost a gem when this place closed down. Many people have their opinions, but let's focus on what really matters: the food.
The flavors were reminiscent of homemade Chipotle, and I mean that in the best way! The flour tortilla for the burrito was amazing. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and there were plenty of toppings to choose from for my burrito. The service was excellent as well. I won't be going to Chipotle after this dinner! The staff was super friendly, and the place was impeccably clean. Plus, they offered sweet tea, which was a wonderful bonus!
This place really has big burritos for 10ish dollars. Definitely will fill you every time. Only a great value here as they serve chips and salsa next to your food. I would describe this place as a sit-down restaurant, but usually it is not too busy, just a quick bite here too.
What I love about this place is the fresh made tortilla and the Bob for mixing all the ingredients together so the burrito is even. Those are the two things that make Pancheros different from the other burrito places. What makes it similar is the build as you go line concept. The food was good, not in your face flavor, but overall a decent burrito. I recommend using the grenade hot sauce that is by the soda fountain!
