Miga - Champaign

Miga is one of the most upscale restaurants I've visited in Urbana-Champaign! The interior has recently been renovated and it looks absolutely stunning. I’ve always appreciated the contemporary ambiance, and above all, the quality of the food is undeniably outstanding. I enjoyed the sushi and sashimi combination along with Katsu, both of which have been my favorites for years! While some might consider the prices a bit high, the exceptional quality of the food truly makes it worthwhile!

I recently ordered the hibachi grill to go and found the portions to be quite decent, with a generous amount of vegetables, which is a nice bonus. The hibachi grill set comes with fried rice, miso soup, a choice of protein, grilled veggies, and two shrimp dumplings. However, I was let down by the crispy french fries; they don’t hold up well during takeout and are definitely better enjoyed in the restaurant when possible. Additionally, for those looking to order Miga to go, they are currently operating out of Naya.

This is my go-to place for delicious Japanese food. I fell in love with it from the very first bite!

Japanese cuisine is absolutely fantastic! This is a great spot for business discussions. I’ll definitely be returning. The atmosphere is amazing, and the restaurant has received numerous excellent reviews for good reason.

One of my all time favorite restaurants. Really good food, good atmosphere, and good service. Everything is very high quality.
