The food portions were ample and the prices fair, but the flavor of the dishes fell short. The restaurant seemed a bit unclean. The waitstaff were friendly and even offered us extra biscuits when they saw that our initial ones were too hard. Despite their thoughtfulness, we ended up with an overwhelming number of biscuits, which we chose to decline as we found them to be below standard.
I visited this restaurant for breakfast and had a disappointing experience. After we placed our order, we waited more than 30 minutes. Even though we were the first customers there, eight other groups who arrived after us received their meals before us. We could hear the staff chatting and laughing for quite some time before our food was finally served. The server was overly attentive, and unfortunately, the food was lackluster. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you're looking for timely service and delicious, hot meals.
Our server was decent, though a bit more attentiveness would have been appreciated. I've been to this Bob Evans restaurant numerous times, and it has always been clean and served delicious food. However, during my latest visit, I encountered a strong unpleasant smell and had to switch to a different booth because of a dripping ceiling. The bacon was undercooked, the home fries were overcooked, and the steak and eggs combo wasn’t prepared to my taste. While the gravy was good, overall, I felt let down compared to my past experiences. I really dislike leaving a negative review, but it seems that the pride in the establishment, whether from the employees or management, may be lacking and is impacting the quality.
Service was okay. As everywhere they were understated. Food was also coming out pretty slowly. My housekeepers weren't very warm either. The Bob Evans blue band bacon was an interesting combination. maple syrup and lots of pepper. That was my favorite thing I ate
