Nestled in a classic barbecue setting, this restaurant garners mixed reviews from diners. While many agree that the ribs are tender and well-smoked, the vinegar-based sauce has sparked controversy—some find it overly sweet or odd, while others appreciate its uniqueness. When I evaluate the food and service here, it's important to understand that I'm rating it based on its own merits. This is a barbecue joint that prioritizes food. The dishes are delicious, so be sure to try the combo platter with ribs and Brunswick stew. Arrive before noon if you want to avoid the crowds!
I ordered delivery for the first time and I have to say, these are the best ribs I've had in a decade. I will definitely be ordering again! I really enjoyed the ribs and stew, as well as both sauces, but the baked beans weren't to my liking. Overall, the flavors were fantastic, the service was quick, and the prices are great.
This restaurant has a classic barbecue vibe. I ordered a pork plate that came with coleslaw and collard greens. The pulled pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. However, I found the vinegar-based sauce to be a bit too sweet for my taste. On the other hand, both the collard greens and coleslaw were excellent.
