What a treat in the heart of Chama, NM (in the middle of no where). The wood fired pizza was great! The crust is made from yeast with dough, which is obviously 34 years old. The brussel sprouts were a great compliment to the meat-sharpened pizza. This place seems pretty new and it's in the small town of CHAMA. They did a great work with the layout and decor. The outdoor fire pit was tidy. View all feedback.
The staff was gracious about our arrival 15 minutes before the closing time, because they were the only restaurant in the city still open when we arrived. Even though they were mostly sold out of food for the night what they had, we enjoyed their smoked 1⁄2 chicken and the patatas. Portions were generous, my older father and I shared an order and were satisfied. I also enjoyed her iced tea. I like that they grow their own shrimps/herbs in the house, that is not something you see in most restaurants. Thanks for a good meal.
Beautifully clean and tastefully designed local restaurant serving some of the best dishes I tasted. Make big pizzas with local and fresh ingredients in a fireplace oven. I have the local beef and the meat was not frozen. Freshly tortured and elegantly served. It was great. I asked for a fresh jalapeño, but they delivered a volcanic sauce that I think it was habanero and serrano or ancho Chile), which was brilliant. They had a nice selection and design beer that I didn't taste, but people around me liked. Visit them you will enjoy enormously.
Amazing food and atmosphere friendly staff and patrons great experience. We stopped by during Chama Days. There was live music and a welcoming, local crowd. I can see why people love this little town! Can't wait to go back to Local.
Great pizza... The crust was some of the tastiest I have had. Don't forget to try the strawberry shortbread yum!
Dinner there on Wednesday at 530. Restaurant was not super crowded, but a number of tables were not cleaned, so we had to wait for a table. Had her special pizza with local sausage and mushrooms that was very good. Also, her verde with Arugula, which was delicious, but the crust was a bit soggy. Beer was good. A solid choice for pizza.
