In the heart of Chama, NM, a charming wood-fired restaurant serves fresh, locally sourced fare—generous pizzas, smoked chicken and impeccably fresh beef—paired with craft beers and an impressive wine list. Tasteful decor, a tidy outdoor fire pit and live‑music nights create a warm, communal atmosphere, while welcoming, knowledgeable staff and on-site shrimp and herb growing add a distinctive touch. Minor issues—occasional slow bussing, late-night sellouts and the odd soggy crust—don’t tarnish an otherwise memorable, must-stop spot for travelers and pizza lovers.

The staff was very welcoming when we arrived just 15 minutes before closing time, especially since they were the only restaurant in the city still open. Although they had mostly run out of food for the night, we really enjoyed their smoked half chicken and the patatas. Dinner there on Wednesday at 530. Restaurant was not super crowded, but a number of tables were not cleaned, so we had to wait for a table. Had her special pizza with local sausage and mushrooms that was very good. Also, her verde with Arugula, which was delicious, but the crust was a bit soggy. Beer was good. A solid choice for pizza.

I think it’s impressive that they grow their own shrimp and herbs on-site, which is something you don’t find in most restaurants. Thank you for a lovely meal!
Great pizza... The crust was some of the tastiest I have had. Don't forget to try the strawberry shortbread yum!
What a treat in the heart of Chama, NM (in the middle of no where). The wood fired pizza was great! The crust is made from yeast with dough, which is obviously 34 years old. The brussel sprouts were a great compliment to the meat-sharpened pizza. This place seems pretty new and it's in the small town of Chama. They did a great work with the layout and decor. The outdoor fire pit was tidy.
This charming local restaurant is beautifully clean and tastefully designed, serving some of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted. They make large pizzas using fresh, local ingredients baked in a wood-fired oven. I ordered the local beef, and it was clear it had never been frozen—perfectly tender and elegantly presented. It was fantastic. I requested a fresh jalapeño, but instead received a spicy sauce that I believe was made from habanero and serrano or ancho chilies, which was a delightful surprise. They also have a nice selection of craft beers that I didn’t try, but the guests around me seemed to enjoy them. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant; you’ll have an amazing experience.
