Unassuming place but great local cuisine and fantastic service by proprietor. No English but we were able to manage due to the friendly owner.
This little restaurant is right on the N359 south of Marvão. The waitress was very friendly her english was close to non existant, but we got by with my limited portuguese, a dictionary and helpful gestures. It was a hot summer afternoon, so sitting outside under the grapes was really nice. We asked for the lunch menu of the day: Bread, soup, roasted chicken. Add in some water, a beer and a half bottle of local wine and we were well cared for. Servings are quite large as is common in Portugal and very, very tasty. Excellent local food, very friendly service, and all of it quite affordable €18 for two persons) I would go back if I happen to be in the neighbourhood.
Fantastische eigenaresse kookt zelf alle gerechten, maakt haar eigen kaas en likeur.De tomatensoep is een maaltijd op zich.De Porco aletejano is fantastisch.
Ótima qualidade de comida tradicional e caseira, muita simpatia e serviço tradicional e familiar, aconselho vale bem a pena.
