Very good! We had reserved a table for two people, were greeted very friendly and served promptly. The restaurant is housed in an old townhouse in downtown Celle and that has a lot of charm. However, parking is not so easy there. The food came after a comparatively short time and was a delight! Someone actually cooks here with love and dedication. The menu is not overloaded and also offers regional specialties. The service was always friendly and helpful. In terms of price, it was all justified by the effort and high quality. It is unlikely that we will come back as we were just passing through. I recommend this house all the more to all visitors to Celle.

Super friendly service, great food. Suitable for allergy sufferers. We'd be happy to return. Reserving a table is advisable.

A very good restaurant. We had lunch on 2 occasions and both times we were served very good and well-prepared food with pleasant service in a lovely environment. A real gem.

Nice experience in Celle. Friendly service and nice food. You have to be a little patient though, as the kitchen is not super fast, but it is worth the wait

Very nice restaurant with delicious food. We had the four course menu. Unfortunately, the dishes came out much too quickly. We were finished after 45 minutes. This wasn't exactly what we planned for, as a birthday dinner for two. We had asked for a slower service at some point, but this wasn't possible :

Maybe my first five ever...venison schnitzel with pumpkin and orange ragout, served with savory gravy and hand made spatzle. Venison encrusted with rough...

Excellent restaurant, not a huge menu, but selected good dishes. Beautiful environment also, quiet and discreet

When the Rissmann family owned the place we loved. What a difference makes a owner... We celebrated my parents 50 years anniversary, my dad died in 2006, so I took my mom and a friend for the occasion. I told the guard exactly that, her indifference bordered on Rude. The wine bottle was poured by an untrained young lady, without tasting, she was simply poured and was not even aware that this is very wrong. The shell menu was very one-sided, only four types of shells, no pages. The regional menu was ok, the local lamb “Heidschnucke” too dry (and we are fans of the record normally). The “sugar meat” (aspied meat) was good, the tartaric acid sauce was very dirty. We mentioned our impressions (as you did in Germany) not interested the waitress. We ordered extra tartaric acid sauce (before tasting, see above). That was charged. All in all, we had good company together, but too much money for mediocre food and bad service. All excellent reviews here are quite old (2016 and older) in 2019: no place to go anymore!

I've been to this restaurant before, so it was time to review it again. I have to say we were absolutely surprised. We experienced nothing less than the perfect quality of food, drinks and service. We loved it and we will be...more! for me it is now one of the best restaurants in Celle!

We wanted something special and friends that Martas had a good reputation for it: intimate atmosphere, real flowers and good but pricy food. When we entered, we could immediately realize this: the first impression was clean and fresh, so the start was good. With this positive first impression we ordered our dishes: duck and locally produced Lam Ragout. Although the duck was tasty, the combination on the plate was strange: beautiful cabbage and sauce, but why dumpling with pesto sauce also? And why are Lam Ragout locally produced with champions instead of Cantarelles, as I saw served on other dishes? But the strangest combination was the old, dry and crushed bread with garlic dip sauce. When we mentioned the bread, we had no answer, so we paid our bill and went. We took our coffee somewhere else.

Delightful small restaurant which was very welcoming despite no booking. Local dishes including lamb from sheep bred on the nearby Heath. Service friendly and helpful. Good cooking if not Michelin rated. Thoroughly recommend
