The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the staff! They are incredibly friendly and accommodating, which truly reflects the quality of the establishment. I would return just for their excellent service. The interior ambiance is also wonderful; it feels upscale and modern. As for the food, it was quite good—maybe even great—but I wouldn't say it was exceptional. We tried the beef tartare, charcuterie board, and Parisian gnocchi, and while I enjoyed all of it, I found it a bit on the bland side. However, the cocktails were outstanding! Update: Three months later, I visited again, and the food was fantastic! I've updated my review to five stars, and I will definitely be returning.
I prefer the Webster when it comes to service, menu, and portion sizes. The restaurant was quite busy, and it has a long-standing history. However, the wine list features some unusual choices and includes only one Napa Valley option. Clearly, they must be doing something right to have been around for so long, but I don't think it's worth the drive to CR, in my opinion. There are multiple options in IC that I would choose instead.
Very busy and loud full of energy on a Thursday night Upscale good food Blackberry smash cocktail was strong with good berry taste and a mint leaf Started with peach sorbet which came on a bed of buttered graham (an issue with the GF person). More of a limoncello flavor than peach but once i got past no peach flavor it was light and followed the perfect definition of a sorbet App; One east and one west coast fresh shucked raw oysters. Perfect App; parisian gnocchi with a great crispy mushroom Green beans; yum to the max Mussels (out) Aged duck main; plenty of duck on a bed of farro that was so nutty and flavorful that i wish i had huge bowl of it. With too few grilled just right patty pan squash. I liked the duck with the paneer sauce that came with the green beans. The Chef was very able to accommodate the vegan and gluten free requirements in our group of 16
