The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious food. Their menu changes frequently based on farm-to-table ingredients, ensuring a unique dining experience each time. We enjoyed appetizers such as duck confit gnocchi, fried sunchokes, and beef tartare. For our main courses, I had monkfish remoulade with Swiss chard, mussels, and seaweed salad, while my husband had flat iron steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and grilled onions, both of which were excellent. My father-in-law ordered winter squash ravioli, which was beautifully presented but came in small portions. To feel satisfied, we recommend ordering appetizers and dessert. For dessert, we tried rosemary cake with hazelnut frosting and smoked molasses gelato, chocolate tres leches with coconut panna cotta, and cinnamon vanilla rice pudding with fresh blueberries and blueberry egg yolks, reminiscent of dishes by Jose Andres. They also offer a happy hour until 6:30, featuring discounted beers, wine, and well drinks. Overall, a great dining experience and I would definitely return when in town again.

I had a hard time writing this review, but here it goes: the ambience is fantastic. The interior is super cute with exposed brick, plants, great lighting, and charming antique dishware. The farm-to-table concept is usually great, but the food was a mixed bag. The ricotta gnudi I ordered was too salty, and the charcuterie board was lacking. However, the Parisian gnocchi was delicious! The service started off strong but towards the end, we felt a bit ignored. The cocktails were amazing! Overall, I would recommend coming in for drinks and appetizers to enjoy the lovely setting.

Two days later and I'm still thinking about the chicken I enjoyed at Cobble Hill. It was amazing! Locally sourced chicken thigh stuffed with chicken sausage. Surrounded by mushrooms and olives with seeded encrusted sweet potatoes. Perfection on a plate. My only regret was that I was dining alone so I didn't get to try anything else. The chef's counter was a perfect place to sit as I had a bird's eye view of the kitchen. Kitchen staff, as well as wait staff, took great care of me throughout the evening. Even the hostess came over to check in on me. The beverage menu is great as well with a good selection of cocktails and wines all at a solid price point. I will definitely return to Cobble Hill on my next trip to Cedar Rapids.

We drove an hour, and it was 100% worth it! Fantastic starters, mains, dessert and drinks. Easily the best fine dining in Iowa. The atmosphere was, at first, very romantic- candlelit and serene, until a small group with a baby were sat. We were very disappointed and surprised that Cobble Hill would consider allowing young children when the ambiance is clearly meant to be an intimate, upscale dining experience.

I prefer the Webster when it comes to service, menu, and portion sizes. The restaurant was quite busy, and it has a long-standing history. However, the wine list features some unusual choices and includes only one Napa Valley option. Clearly, they must be doing something right to have been around for so long, but I don't think it's worth the drive to CR, in my opinion. There are multiple options in IC that I would choose instead.
