Mandoon Estate - CAVERSHAM

My mother was here visiting to meet our baby boy who is 8 months. Decided to take her to Mandoon Estate due to high ratings here on trip advisor. Very happy with our choice.When we arrived the restaurant was fully booked due to a very busy Sunday. We were happy to be placed on the waiting list and text messaged when our table was ready. Whilst we waited we explored the gorgeous grounds, did a wine tasting and explored the art gallery. It took 45 minutes but with so much to do it went quickly. The food was amazing, soooo delicious and worth waiting for!

We dined here on a satuday evening with our 14yr old. Although the degustation menu was calling, we al a carted. With help from the fantastic server we chose our meals and were impressed with everything we had. A great evening.

Visited on a wet windy day with family. The views would be lovely on a nice day. The menu is varied and interesting. My husband and I shared the Octopus entree which was served with chorizo, kipfler pots and chilli - it was so tender, probably the best I've ever tasted. This was followed by Seafood Laksa, apparently a new item on the menu. Three of our party had it and it was delicious - nice curry flavour, loads of noddles and seafood, bok choi and a boiled egg - all served in a large turrine with a handy lid that serves as a bowl to put the mussel shells in. The dessert menu was scrumptious too, my chocolate mousse was a work of art. The service was efficient both for drinks and food. Highly recommend.

My friend and I came for lunch on a sunny but very cold day. We decided to go for the more casual dining with the Homestead Brewery. From the moment we entered the staff were very warm and welcoming, there is a nice selection on the menu, we both went for the beer battered fish and chips with tartar sauce, make sure you come hungry the portion size was large and delicious. Neither of us drink alcohol but ordered tea, and the waitress was very obliging in providing extra hot water, although we had a large meal we had to try the deserts, I had the rhubarb crumble and my friend had pana cotta again delicious. Top marks for ambience, staff and food, great lunch, will defiantly be back.

We decided to give this place a try based on other reviews. Huge place with a beer garden, it was a nice sunny day, lots of people ordered pizza and hanged out outside. The Homestead brewery was crowded, food seems good! We are at the restaurant and the food was pretty good, the chocolate fondant is not to be missed!
