The food is outstanding, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, filled with a friendly mix of locals. The oysters, in particular, were superb.

The seafood... read more The staff at Mitchell's are friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations, and the menu left much to be desired. The seafood chowder was especially disappointing, containing only a few small pieces of salmon and lacking a generous amount of seafood. This was a letdown for us, as longtime visitors to Clifden who have always enjoyed excellent meals here. Considering the poor quality and low standard of the dishes, the prices at Mitchell's seemed quite high.
