They are unique and taste good. I had the Georgia this time. There was no wait with reservations. The waitress is friendly and very attentive. They switch their menu every few months for variety. The drinks are changed up tooevery few months. The food is great. I had the octopus dinner and my fiancé had the pinwheel sole. The dessert was delicious aswell. Great atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. They let you enjoy your meal instead of rushing you out the door.

The waitress that was helping us was attentive and on point. Even had a chance to meet the owner Natasha. Verynice woman. If you’re in Catskill and you want to know what polish food taste like I would recommend The New York Restaurant.

Your really can’t do better then this place from the live singer playing his guitar and singing to the decor to the waitstaff to the food that was obviously prepared with muchlove and detail. We went there because 62 years ago my great aunt was a waitress there and it’s also the place she met herhusband who sadly died couple of months ago. Thanks again to everyone at the NewYork restaurant!

My frie... read more I hope management sees this review and fixes their online system, or have a conversation with their hostess about how to speak with potential customers. My friends and I arrived at this restaurant at 5:30 pm hoping to walk in for dinner. The hostess informed us they were fully booked and couldn’t let us eat without a reservation. We noticed there were empty tables and, out of curiosity, we checked Google and found that reservations were available at 6pm, thinking maybe someone cancelled. We made the reservation for 4 at 6 pm and returned. When we arrived, we showed the hostess our reservation, and she told us that they “didn’t have internet” (with an iPad in her hands) and that we still couldn’t eat there. I suggested to her that she inform management they should probably fix their online reservation system so people don’t make the same mistake and while leaving she called us “stupid for not trusting the human.” We were really excited to eat here and are very disappointed by the hostility of the hostess.
